Summary[edit]

Description

English: "Holocaust, a Splinter in the Eye" is a play of collective creation, in which the creators and performers address the genocide that took place inside concentration camps during World War II. It is not a faithful representation of the facts, it is a personal look of them. Why refer to something that happened so long ago, and so far from here? Why talk about something that has already been written a lot, a lot has been said, and much has been seen? What are the interests of today? These questions and many more come to the fore when addressing a topic like this, and these are the ones that become the point of reference for this project, confronting each individual who is part of the Show with one of the most devastating and dark moments of humanity. It is not a question of Jews pursued and exterminated by Nazis, it is not a matter of Nazis spreading their territory and power, it is a matter of accepting and remembering what we have inherited, that past that we can not deny.

"The Holocaust is a window, not a picture. Looking at that window, things that are usually invisible are glimpsed, things of the greatest importance to all those who are alive and who hope to be tomorrow. "Bauman, 1989.
