Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The HMS Eagle (R05) in 1964, shortly after a lengthy refit.
Original caption: "
After a major reconstruction that took nearly five years, HMS Eagle is at sea again as Britain's most up-to-date aircraft carrier. The greatest outward change is the addition to the island of the 984 radar scanner. Down below tremendous changes have been made, including the installation of an inertial navigation system, ordinarily fitted only in submarines.
