English: Gate lodge, Mount Stewart House. Mount Stewart House is owned by the National Trust. The house dates from 1783 and is known for its gardens. This is the gate lodge on the Newtownards-Portaferry Road. The 75 acres of gardens were, however, only started to be laid out by the 7th Marchioness of Londonderry in 1921 |
