English: Frontispiece from the Hamadan Qur'an. Copied and illuminated by 'Abdallah ibn Muhammad ibn Mahmud al-Hamadhani. Commissioned by Sultan Öljaitü, shortly after its completion this manuscript was sent to Cairo as a gift to Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad. Later it became the property of a Mamluk amir Sayf al-Din Baktamur, who in April 1326 gave it to his mausoleum in Cairo. Hamadan, September 1313. National Library of Egypt Masahif Rasid 72, ff. 1v-2r
