Description
English: The Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. Monument to Prince Almerico d'Este of Modena (1666). It is made of marble and gilded. It is attributed Josse de Corte. Almerico d'Este commanded the Venetian army during the war of Candia (1645-1669) and died during his command. He was honored with a state funeral in the church of the Frari. The tomb was achieved at the expense of the Venetian Senate.

Almerico d’Este a commandé l’armée Vénitienne pendant la guerre de Candie (1645-1669) et est mort durant son commandement. Il a été honoré par des funérailles d'État dans l'église des Frari. Le tombeau a été réalisé aux frais du Sénat vénitien.
