Description
Deutsch: Frankfurt-Bockenheim Passivhaus-Komplex Sophienhof; Im Geviert Ginnheimer Landstraße, Sophienstraße, Konrad-Broßwitz-Straße (damals Werder-Straße) entstand von 1877 bis 1879 ein Militärlazarett für 109 Kranke, später wurde es von der Polizei, bzw. Bereitschaftspolizei, benutzt. Auf der Seite der Konrad-Broßwitz-Straße wurde in der Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs ein Luftschutzbunker errichtet, der nach dem Krieg teilweise als Wohnheim benutzt wurde. Von 2005 bis 2006 errichtete die städtische Frankfurter Aufbau AG hier mit 15 Mehrfamilienhäusern mit 149 Miet- und Eigentumswohnungen, sowie ca. 1000 m² Gewerbeeinheiten einen viel beachteten Gebäudekomplex, der bis dato größte Passivhaus-Komplex in Europa, den sogenannten Sophienhof.
