Description
Deutsch: Frankfurt-Bockenheim, Eckhaus Friesengasse 13, der vormaligen Neugasse und Ecke Appelgasse. Die Appelgasse erhielt ihren Namen nach der hier ortansässigen Familie Appel, die einst 1870 Grund und Bogen für die Anlage dieser Gasse zur Verfügung stellte. Ein Georg Appel aus Eberstadt wurde seit dem 12.07.1860 Bürger der Stadt Bockenheim und durch Heirat Eigentümer des sogenannten Mühls Garten, der vorher der Garten des Gasthauses zum Schwan am Kirchplatz 5 gehörte, dass als Storchennesthaus bekannt war. Der Stadtchronist von Bockenheim Hermann Ludwig notierte, dass 1873 ein Bäckermeister Peter Rauch aus Friedberg Eigentümer an diesem langgestreckten aber schmalen Grundstück wurde und hier seine Bäckerei eröffnete, die er dann später seinem Sohn Louis Rauch übergab.
