Description
English: Franciscan church. Listed ID 5662. - Barátok Square, Gyöngyös, Heves County, Hungary
Magyar: Sarlós Boldogasszony Ferences templom. Műemlék azonosító: 5662. (törzsszám:2106). A hajó D-i oldalán és a szentélyen támpillérek, közöttük csúcsíves mérműves ablakok, valamint a hajó falához épület kápolnák (Lorettoi, 1752; Fájdalmas Szűz, 1761; Szent Antal, 1793) és kriptalejárat találhatók. A nyugati homlokzat felett szobordíszes oromzat, középen fülkében Immaculata-szobor, szélein vázák és Assisi Szent Ferenc, Paduai Szent Antal, Szent Bernardin, Kapisztrán Szent János szobrai (Singer Mihály). A főbejáratot felet szobordíszes párkányt , középen Mária és Erzsébet találkozása, a széleken egy-egy váza. A szentélyben és a sekrestyében több középkori részlet. A ferences konvent gótikus, 1400 körül épült templomát 1718-ban újjáépítették (építész: Giovanni Battista Carlone), a 18. század második felében többször bővítették. A hajó nyugati oldalán karzat készült Quadri Kristóf építész tervei alapján.Az épületet az 1904-es tűzvész után 1910-ben állították helyre Schulek Frigyes, Lux Kálmán építészek tervei alapján. A templom É-i oldalához kapcsolódik a külön törzsszámon védett kolostor (trsz.: 2107). - Magyarország, Heves megye, Gyöngyös, Barátok tere.
