Fragment of a post-medieval purse frame
Description
English: Distorted fragment of a post-medieval copper alloy purse frame, curving and a low T-shape in cross-section, both ends missing. A short flange (5mm) on the reverse ends 3.5mm before one broken end and is broken across one of three attachment holes. The face is decorated with a running vine scroll reserved on a field of black enamel within cable borders. Unusual type, see fragments of similar from NMS-619A4B and NMS-68A4C5. Extant length 91.5mm. Width 12mm. 16th century.
