This is an example for drawing simple SVGs of simple lens diagrams[edit]

In this case the size 180 × 300 seemed reasonable.

The two lens shapes are symbolized by two arcs,

• the left one "(" with "M130,10 a300,300 0 0,0 0,160" and
• the right one ")" with "M160,170 a300,300 0 0,0 0-160".

The four strokes for "F' " are drawn with "M230,81 V69 h7 m3,0 v3 m-4,3 h-6".

The light rays "→" in red consist of

• the upmost one: "M20,40 h104" — "M168,46 l 105,70"
• the middle one: "M20,90 h99" — "M171,90 h 109"
• the lower one: "M20,140 h104" — "M168,134 l 105-70"

and the arrow heads ">"

• upper: "M263,65 l 10-1 -5,9"
• middle: "M272,85 l 8,5 -8,5"
• lower: "M268,107 l 5,9 -10-1"

Some spaces within the strings are not necessary, the are inserted for better readability.
With relative positioning some definitions can be written with shorter values, creating the same drawing.
