| Description |
English: Forordning med Christian 7. kronede monogram, "Forordning om Neger-Handelen", 1792. Det forbydes at indføre slaver fra Afrika til Vestindien med virkning fra 1803. Formålet var ikke at afskaffe slaveriet, men at gøre det fordeelagtigt for Vore Vestindiske Øer at undvære Indkiøb af nye Negre, naar Plantagerne engang ere blevne forsynede med tilstrækkeligt Antal i det for Formerelsen fornødne Forhold. Derfor blev indførelsen af især kvindelige slaver støttet med skattelettelser i 10 år frem til 1803. |
