Summary[edit]

Description
English: The long-closed Strusienski's tavern and restaurant, 363 Paderewski Drive at Sears Street, Buffalo, New York, May 2020. A linchpin of Buffalo's Polish-American quarter, this amply proportioned wood-frame structure is described by Forgotten Buffalo as "a fine example of a mixed use tavern/residential structure built in the 1890s" and was home not only to the restaurant (from 1919 until its closure in 1989), but also several generations of the Strusienski family themselves, who lived in the rooms upstairs. Local comedian, television personality, and booster Edward "Airborne Eddy" Dobosiewicz purchased the building at auction in 2009 from the city, who took ownership after it became abandoned and was planning to demolish it if a buyer couldn't be found, and has been undertaking structural stabilization and renovations since then.
