Summary[edit]

Description

Work to restore the U.S. Capitol Rotunda began with the installation of floor protection. Details at www.aoc.gov/rotunda.

The Rotunda is now closed through Labor Day 2015 to install scaffolding that will remain in place through late summer 2016. The Capitol Visitor Center will provide information as it becomes available regarding the impact on tours, as well as special programming that will be offered during the temporary closure period. We anticipate that the Rotunda will re-open for tours after Labor Day.
