| Description |
The Capitol Visitor Center, which opened in December 2008, included a number of sustainable design elements in its architecture and construction. Built below ground, the skylights in Emancipation Hall allow for the CVC to use less lights during the day, resulting in energy savings for the AOC. For more information about the Capitol Visitor Center visit: www.aoc.gov/cc/Capitol-Visitor-Center.cfm This official Architect of the Capitol photograph is being made available for educational, scholarly, news or personal purposes (not advertising or any other commercial use).
