Summary[edit]

Description

Old-growth black cherry (Prunus serotina), McKean County, within the Tionesta Research Natural Area of Allegheny National Forest.

The tree's bark was actually brownish gray, with a hint of purple. The early-morning light, combined with the warming filter used on the camera, imparted a golden hue.
