| Description | Frankfurt-Bockenheim Schloßstraße Kreuzung Adalbertstraße, Fassadenschmuck von 1956, Auftraggeber die damalige Aktienbaugesellschaft für kleine Wohnungen, heute ABG Frankfurt Holding, die das 1944 durch Fliegerbomben stark zerstörte Bockenheim entlang der Schloßstraße, Adalbertstraße und Nauheimer Straße mit Wohnblocks neu bebaute. Der Fassadenschmuck zeigt symbolhaft zwei ängstliche Menschen, die vor Bomben in einem Kellerraum Schutz suchen. Darüber stehen zwei kraftvolle Bauarbeiter, die den Aufbauwillen dokumentieren. Im Hintergrund sieht man Teile eines Baukrans sowie Baugerüste, die auf die Mehrstöckigkeit des umfangreichen Bauvorhabens hindeuten, und als regionalen Bezug die symbolhafte Darstellung der Bockenheimer Warte. Obwohl die Mittel damals sehr knapp waren, wurde ca. 10 Jahre nach Kriegsende dieser Fassadenschmuck in Auftrag gegeben. Mitwirkende Handwerker und Künstler sind nicht mehr bekannt. |
