Well i was determined to get a photo of this lightship and i walked all over the place trying to get a shot of this side of the boat. I even got kicked out of a scrap yard and a steel supply business trying to capture it because they wouldn't allow photography ( In a junkyard)... Whatever! .. Then it started pouring with rain so i had to hide in a building for a while.. It is so much fun collecting photo's... Anyway as you can see i eventually got a shot, albeit not such a good one, because of the light problems and the FENCE Grrr... But at least on the bright side i now know where to get my shot at - i just have to return at high tide and the lightship will be above the fence . Oh and it will have to be in the morning when the sun is in the correct position : ) Then i remembered my friends at the Fence Friday group who would probably love the fence part of this image at least.. The building in the background is the 02 arena which is on the opposite side of the river Thames in North Greenwich.. <a href="http://www.lightship95.com/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">The Lightship is now a recording studio </a> and the area behind the lightship is called <a href="http://www.trinitybuoywharf.com/about" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Trinity buoy wharf </a> A very interesting area with lots of history and an <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/locosteve/36795349940/">American Diner from New Jersey</a> plus loads of sculptures... Wonderful find Check it out! |
