Description
English: One can find this photography of the "Farinahaus" or "Farina-Haus", Cologne, in an adressbook of 1901, the photo was taken by Theodor Creifelds. Theodor Johann Hubert Creifelds (* 9. September 1839 in Koblenz; † 21. Mai 1902 in Unkel). Adress of his studio these years (1900/1901) was "Domkloster 1" in Cologne. – The Farina-House is named after the famous producer of "Kölnisch Wasser" (Eau de Cologne) Johann Maria Farina (1685–1766). Adress of this building is today: Obenmarspforten 21 in 50667 Köln (Cologne), Germany. You will find there a "Duftmuseum", a museum of fragrance, connected with the history of "4711". – Architects were Schreiterer & Below, Cologne. They are Emil Schreiterer (1852–1923) and Bernhard Below (1854–1931). The construction work for the "Farina-Haus" was done by Carl/Karl Alsdorff (1866–1924).
