Description iconographique:

Façade du palais de l'Industrie, avenue des Champs-Elysées, 8ème arrondissement. Entrée principale qui dessine une arche gigantesque. Au-dessus, statue de la "France distribuant des couronnes d'or à l'art et à l'industrie assis à ses pieds". De chaque côté de l'immense statue, on a installé deux groupes de génies soutenant des cartouches ornés des chiffres de l'Empereur. Sur les murs, on a gravé les 205 noms des hommes les plus savants de l'humanité : "MONTHYON, VAUBAN, BERTHOUD, CANOVA, VITRUVE, PHIDIAS, APELLES, ARCHIMEDE..."
