Description
Français : Né en 1897 à Bordeaux, Pierre Danflou fait ses études au lycée Saint-Joseph-de-Tivoli.

Engagé dans l'artillerie à 17 ans, en 1914, il devient maréchal des logis. Parlant couramment l'anglais après quelques séjours passés en Grande-Bretagne avant guerre, il est interprète. Il se déplace à cheval ; lors d'une attaque, son cheval est tué par un éclat d'obus mais lui n'est pas blessé.

Il prend part à la bataille de Verdun et du Chemin des Dames.

Au cours du conflit, il obtient la croix de guerre, la médaille militaire et la médaille de Verdun. Il écrit tous les jours à sa famille ; sa mère lui envoie des colis de nourriture.

Après la guerre, il travaille dans les assurances puis dans le négoce du vin. Il meurt le 14 juillet 1988.
