Description U.S. Air Force North American F-51D-30-NA Mustang aircraft assigned to the 178th Fighter Squadron, 119th Fighter Wing "The Happy Hooligans", North Dakota Air National Guard, at Hector Field, North Dakota (USA), in June 1950.
The first aircraft in line, 44-74814, was passed to No. 2 Squadron, South African Air Force, in Korea and suffered an engine fire sout-west of Wonju, Korea, on 20 March 1951. The pilot bailed out and the plane crashed.
