Summary[edit]

Description
English: Top: Illustration of transient response (output voltage as a function of time) of retinomorphic sensor in response to a step change in light intensity from 0 to P, for increasing values of P. Bottom: Illustration of how one can extract the retinomorphic figure of merit, Λ, from experimental retinomorphic sensor data. By plotting the ratio of the input voltage to the maximum output voltage on the y-axis against the inverse of the square root of P on the x-axis, then fitting with a straight line the gradient should yield 1 / Λ.
