Ex-Judge Garretson Named. He Accepts a Place in the New Jersey Supreme Court. Trenton, New Jersey; July 10, 1900. Governor Voorhees, at his home, at Elizabeth, today offered to ex-Judge A. Q. Garretson of Jersey City the position on the Supreme Court bench made vacant by the death of Justice Lippincott. Judge Garretson indicated his willingness to accept the place. The new appointee, like Justice Lippincott, is a Democrat. He has served as a County Judge and is at present a member of the law firm of Vredenburgh & Garretson.
