Description
Español: Escudo del municipio de Santiago (Putumayo).

"La corona de plumajes con colores vivos, la cual se utiliza en tiempo de carnaval, esta ubicado en la parte superior que identifica a la cultura indígena; en la parte inferior esta un chumbe o faja, en él, esta inscrito el nombre de Santiago; a sus lados esta la bandera del Departamento del Putumayo (verde, blanco y negro); en la parte central se encuentra la Cordillera Central que borda a nuestro municipio y que circunda al Valle de Sibundoy; tembien en el centro están las manos que significa un apretón de manos entre el indígena y el campesino, personajes que han estado conviviendo por mucho tiempo; en la parte superior como sugerencia del Padre Justo García, Párroco del Municipio, se colocaron unos símbolos religiosos como son la Biblia y la Cruz; también están los símbolos de la educación, que reflejan al desarrollo cultural; a sus lados esta integrada la bandera del municipio en forma de abanico. Escudo realizado por SILVIO CASTILLO CORDOBA."
