Description
English: Ernest Newton Patty (1894-1976) was an American academic, businessman and mining engineer, best known for serving as the president of the University of Alaska from 1953 to 1960. Patty's photo appeared as part of a profile of the start of the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines, today the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where Patty was a professor of geology, part of a starting faculty of less than a half-dozen.
