Notes 2 pairs of clasps. Smooth spine. c. 1550, Paris, greek style binding bound for Marcus Fugger. Once attributed to Claude de Picques. See M M Foot, The Henry Davis Gift, vol I, London, 1978, pp. 170-182. The volume has an ownership stamp which has been defaced. It belonged to the Oettingen Wallerstein family, who sold part of their library (including some of the books belonging to Fugger) through the book dealers Karl & Faber. This book was purchased by Lucius Wilmerding and subsequently by Henry Davis.
