English: A U.S. Navy "Black History" poster, featuring Ensign Jesse L. Brown. He was the first African-American to be trained by the U.S. Navy as a naval aviator, and such, became the first African-American naval aviator to see combat and the first to be killed (on 4 December 1950). The original artwork was created circa 1976 by William M. Moser, of the U.S. Navy Recruiting Command. |
