Description
English: This bell towner stands at the site of the First Transcontinental Railroad in Auburn California.

The plaque for this tower has the following information:

East Auburn
Bell Tower
Erected 1902
"Rattlers"
1988
Plaque Donated by
Mother Lode Savings Bank

The second plaque at the base of the tower says that the tracks reached Auburn May 13, 1865. California Registered Historic Landmark No. 780-4.

Picture was taken early in the morning, right around sunrise.
