Description
English: Early post medieval copper alloy purse frame, dating to 1500-1700AD. Length: 46 mm, diameter: 6 mm, weight: 10.69 grams.
The object is fragmentary and is rectangular in form and circular in cross section. It tapers in width and has a sub rectangular plate projecting from its side. This has one complete and one partial fixing hole near its edge. The body of the frame is decorated below the projection with six double incised lines. These are diagonally aligned and cross over each other, forming three cross motifs when viewed from the side. This decoration is bordered with two solid transverse lines at each side.
