| Description |
Српски / srpski: Društvo Srpska majka bila je socijalno-humanitarna ustanova, koja je osnovana 16. aprila 1911. godine u Beogradu. Društvo je imalo zadatak da uputi majke o nezi i higijeni dece i na taj način smanji mortalitet dece, kao i da materijalno pomaže siromašne majke i njihovu decu, a naročito porodilje. Ideju za osnivanje društva dao je doktor Jovan Jovanović, akušer i Darinka Panić, koja je bila predsednica društva i neumorno radila u korist društva sve do svoje smrti
English: The Serbian Mother Society was a social-humanitarian institution, which was founded on April 16, 1911 in Belgrade. The society had the task of instructing mothers about the care and hygiene of children and thus reducing the mortality of children, as well as to materially help poor mothers and their children, especially mothers. The idea for founding the society was given by Dr. Jovan Jovanović, obstetrician and Darinka Panić, who was the president of the society and worked tirelessly for the benefit of the society until her death. |
