DOROTHY DE VORE was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 22nd., 1901. and when but a wee little lass her family removed to Los Angeles where she finished her schooling. Then came an engagement with a musical comedy company which was followed by a small part in a series of Universal Comedies. To her keen desire to work and to a charming personality to say nothing of rare beauty, this little Texas miss owes her present standing in the motion picture Hall of Fame. It remained for the shrewd Al Christie to "discover" Dorothy, and it was in his comedies that she attained real prominence. She is a real screen comedian holding her audiences by the cleverness of her every characterization. She is an unusually good swimmer and proficient in many other forms of athletics. Devore stands 5 feet 1 inch in height, weighs 110 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
