Description Im Nordwesten Griechenlands in der Provinz Epirus befindet sich abgeschirmt vom Pindos Gebirge Zagoria, eine der unberührtesten Regionen Griechenlands. Die Gegend ist außer für ihre ursprüngliche Natur berühmt für die traditionellen, auf das 14. Jahrhundert zurück zu führenden kleinen Dörfer. Uralte Eselspfade und Bogenbrücken, die in den alten Zeiten als Handelsrouten dienten verbinden heute noch die malerischen Orte. In Zagoria liegt der Vikos-Aoos Nationalpark mit der berühmten, über 1000 Meter tiefen Vikos-Schlucht. Die Schlucht, laut Guinness Buch die tiefste Schlucht der Welt, stellt ein imposantes Schauspiel der Naturgewalten dar und bietet spektakuläre Aussichten in einer herrlichen Landschaft mit bizarren Felsenformationen. In dieser ursprünglichen Gegend gibt es seltene Flora und Fauna, die anderswo in Europa nicht mehr zu sehen ist
