ect printers such as DIGITALS LA120 or LA34, you must use null modem cables whichterminate at both ends with RS232 female connectors. Use the following procedure to attach a printer to the VT180. DIGITAL recommends using aBC26U-15 null modem cable. If you use another cable, make sure it has a right-angled female con-nector (to attach to the VT180) and is wired as follows. 1. Attach the right-angled female connector of the null modem cable to the 25-pin printer con-nector on the top left side of the module access cover. See Figure 2-23. 2. Attach the other end of this cable to the printer.INSTALL COMMUNICATIONS CABLE If desired, attach a communications cable to the communications port on the back of the terminal.Use a BC22B cable for asynchronous modems or a BC22C cable for synchronous modems.
