| Description |
c/n 14072. Built 1954 as ‘VR-NAQ’ for the West African Airways Corporation in Nigeria. In 1961 it briefly became ‘G-ARKU’ before being converted into a Sea Heron C20 for the Royal Navy, who operated it as ‘XR445’ with 781sqn. Demobbed in the late 1980’s, it became ‘G-ODLG’ before joining Heron Airlines in Australia as ‘VH-NJP’ in 1993. Now restored in Gulf Aviation colours as ‘G-ANFE’, it is on display at the Al Mahatta Aviation Museum, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. 14-9-2015 |
