Italiano: In questo dipinto, Dante cerca l'appoggio dell'Ordelaffi contro i guelfi. Dante in quel periodo era infatti esule e fu ospitato a Forlì nel marzo del 1303 dall'Ordelaffi, vir nobilis et ghibellinorum in Forlivio princeps. Dante ricoprì l'incarico di epistolarum dictator, una sorta di consigliere dell'Ordelaffi.
