| Description |
This small village in Northern Scotland has a tradition of having a "Gala Day" every summer when there are various displays of skill, entertainment and country pursuits, all for the enjoyment of locals and visitors alike. We see here, in the showground, everything is set up for an obstacle course for dogs. The photo was taken from a helicopter that was giving pleasure flights. PS It's said that the Dallas in Texas was named after George Mifflin Dallas - the 11th vice president of the United States from 1845 to 1849 - whose grandfather came from this village. |
