Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Dingden: „In Gold (Gelb) über einem roten Dreiberg ein grüne Linde, beseitet von zwei aufrechtstehenden roten Schwertern.“ Dingden war im Mittelalter Gerichtsplatz. Das Dingender Wappen, das 1939 entworfen wurde, soll an diese Zeit erinnern. Zu beiden Seiten einer Linde, unter der früher Gericht gehalten wurde, sollen die Schwerter die Gerichtsbarkeit symbolisieren.
English: The arms were officially granted on April 12, 1939. Dingden means the place where a thing was held, an pre- and early medieval local court. These courts were preferable held under oak trees, hence the oak in the arms. The two swords symbolise justice.
