Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cuttle Bridge near Swarkestone, Derbyshire This is Bridge No 13 on the Trent and Mersey Canal, and carries A5132 between Willington, Barrow-0n-Trent and southern areas of Derby. The canal was open here by 1770, engineered by James Brindley. He died two years later, long before the full length of the canal was completed in 1777. The sign on the towpath suggests anglers might not like to be electrocuted by the power line which can be seen crossing the canal through the trees.
