Uploaded with derivativeFX The Curve ball, or the old number 2 pitch is crafty pitchers best friend. This pitch is held by using your index finger, middle finger, and thumb. Keeping both the index and middle on the side of the seam on top of the ball and the thumb on the other bottom side of the ball. When throwing this pitch, during the release snapping the wrist in a downwards 45 degree angle will cause the ball to break down and away/towards the batter. (Depending on what side of the plate the batter is at.) This is a very effective pitch, and most pitchers develop a curveball in their careers.
