Description
English: Cup with a bird, example of "pseudo-lustre", viz. the imitation by Iranian potters of metallic lustre; yellow, brown or green slip was used to that end. Slipped earthenware with slip and pigments decoration, undeglaze painted. Khurasan, Iran, 10th–11th century.
Français : Coupe à l'oiseau, exemple de « faux lustre » c'est-à-dire d'imitation par les potiers d'Iran oriental du lustre métallique, grâce à des engobes jaunes, vertes ou brunes. Céramique argileuse engobée, décor de pigments et d'engobe sous glaçure transparente. Khorassan, Iran, Xe-XIe siècle.
