English: Crawford, Harrington and Yesler's wharves, looking west toward Elliott Bay, Seattle, 1882
Description
English: Caption on image: Peiser 42. Crawford, Harringtons and Yesler's Wharves, 1882.
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Piers & wharves--Washington (State)--Seattle; Ships--Washington (State)--Seattle; Elliott Bay (Wash.)

The image gives year 1882 but steamboat Teaser in foreground tentatively allows this photograph to be dated as between 1875, when Teaser was sent to Puget Sound by the Oregon Steam Navigation Company, and 1879, when Teaser sank. While Teaser was later raised, the vessel was converted to a sealing schooner, which the vessel shown in this image does not appear to be.
