Summary[edit]

Description
English: Corlan Anafon Sheepfold [Left Bank] A relict feature of a by-gone age. In Snowdonia, this type of multi-chambered sheepfold was largely confined to the Carneddau, those in the Glyderau, Snowdon and Nantlle areas being of a much simpler construction. The main reason for this was that much of the Carneddau was upland common on which many farmers enjoyed grazing rights, and at gathering time all the sheep were brought down and then separated according to their ownership marks into different pens.
