English: Company B, 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) at An Khe, South Vietnam is using the latest Army weapons. One of these, the CAR-15 rifle is an improvement of the M-16 rifle, being shorter by 10 inches and weighing 1 1/2 pounds less than the M-16 rifle. SP/4 Rodney W. Henning (Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin), a rifleman, pulls the all metal telescopic sight completely out to enable him to accurately aim, using the rifle sights with the stock in the forward position, the weapon may be used similar to the submachine gun
