This file was uploaded with Commonist.
English: 3D Stack of optical sections of a fixed HeLa-cell nucleus transgenic for a Histone H2B-GFP fusion protein (displayed in Cyan) and with a scratch replication label highlighting sites of DNA replication (red). Left: recording in confocal mode (pinhole = 1 Airy unit). Right: recording in non-confocal mode (completely open pinhole). From top to bottom the image has an extension of 16.4 µm (pixel size 80 nm), sections are 0.24 µm apart.
Deutsch: 3D Bildstapel von optischen Schnitten einer fixierten HeLa-Zelle, die transgen für ein Histone H2B-GFP-Fusionsprotein ist (Cyan) und einem scratch-replication-label unterzogen wurde, durch das die Orte der DNA-Synthese markiert wurden (rot). Links: konfokale Aufnahme (pinhole = 1 Airy unit). Rechts: nicht-konfokale Aufnahme mit völlig geöffnetem Pinhole. Von oben nach unten hat das Bild eine Länge von 16,4 µm (Pixelgröße 80 nm), die optischen Schnitte haben einen Abstand von je 0,24 µm.
