Description

St Patrick's Church, Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland

English: Second stained glass window (counting from east to west) in the south aisle (W05), depicts Christ as Good Shepherd in front of the invasion of Normandy for a Second World War memorial. Inscription of the bottom lines: “This window has been erected by the parishioners of S. Patrick's church to the Glory of God in recognition of the gallantry of the men of this parish who fought in the world war 1939–1945 and in ever proud memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice.” Signed by William Morris of William Morris & Co. of Westminster, London, 1953. (See signature in the lower right corner of the right light and gloine.ie.)
