Description

Clinton is the largest city in DeWitt County, Illinois, United States. The population was 7,225 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of DeWitt County. The city and the county are named for DeWitt Clinton, governor of New York, 1817-1823. Clinton Nuclear Generating Station is located 6 miles away on Clinton Lake. In 1858, Abraham Lincoln gave a speech in Clinton to which the following quotation has been attributed: "You can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time" on Sept. 18, according to Carl Sandburg.

Bloomington is a city in McLean County, Illinois, United States and the county seat. It is adjacent to Normal, Illinois, and is the more populous of the two principal municipalities of the Bloomington-Normal metropolitan area. When mentioned together, they are known as the "Twin Cities", "Bloomington-Normal", "B-N", or "Blo-No." The mayor of Bloomington is Steve Stockton. The 2010 census showed the city had a population of 76,610, making it the 12th most populated city in Illinois, and the fifth-most populous city in the state outside of the Chicago Metropolitan Area
