Description
English: Pictorial panel from a set of eight depicting the life of Achilles, originally from the Salon of Hôtel Grimod de la Reynière, Paris. This detail depicts Achilles playing the lyre to Deidameia, daughter of Lycomedes, and her sister. Designed and painted by Charles-Louis Clérisseau, Paris, 1770s. Victoria and Albert Museum.
