SUBIC BAY, Philippines (April 6, 2013) Civil service mariners assigned to the Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2) train with U.S. Marines by connecting a Marine Corps Humvee light vehicle to an MV-22B Osprey at Subic Bay International Airport. Marines and civil service mariners are cross-training in cargo operations with the V-22 ashore before attempting the operation at sea during Exercise Balikatan 2013, an annual Republic of the Philippines-U.S. military bilateral training exercise and humanitarian assistance engagement and will take place in the from April 5 to 17.
