Een Samaritaanse vrouw komt water uit de put halen en Christus vraagt haar om drinken. De apostelen verwonderen zich waarom Christus met de vrouw spreekt. Bij verschillende elementen uit de voorstelling staan letters. Boven de voorstelling een titel. Eronder zes versregels en een verwijzing naar Johannes 4: 7-9. De prent maakt deel uit van een album. Vervaardiging Vervaardiger: prentmaker: Christoffel van Sichem (II) (vermeld op object), naar prent van: Hieronymus Wierix, naar ontwerp van: Bernardino Passeri, uitgever: Jan Klooster Plaats vervaardiging: prentmaker: Amsterdam, naar prent van: Antwerpen, uitgever: Amsterdam Datering: 1629 en/of 1740 Fysieke kenmerken: houtsnede en tekst in boekdruk; bevestigd aan albumblad Materiaal: papier Techniek: houtsnede / boekdruk / plakken Afmetingen: beeld: h 110 mm × b 75 mmprent: h 170 mm × b 136 mm Toelichting De prent is afkomstig uit: Bybels Lusthof. Amsterdam, J. Klooster, 1740. De prent werd gemaakt voor de uitgaven van P.J. Paets uit Amsterdam, verschenen in de jaren 1629-1648. Ze komt voor het eerst voor in: Der Zielen Lust-hof.
