Summary[edit]

Description On November 6, 2022, Ambassador Logsdon joined the Ambassador of Ukraine, the head of the Public Property Agency, UNFPA, and transport representatives from Moldovan and Ukrainian railroads at a ceremony at the central train station to celebrate the reestablishment of direct passenger rail service between Kyiv and Chisinau after 20 years. The train reading “Pulling to Victory” arrived from Kyiv via Ungheni with 152 passengers on board. The train is one more demonstration of Moldova’s strong support for its neighbor, Ukraine, in the face of Russia’s ongoing war.
